According to a survey published by the Irish Farmers Journal this week, Irish milk supplies in October were up by 20% or more. Dairygold, Kerry, Lakeland and Aurivo co-ops reported supplies up 20%. The four West Cork co-ops reported production up 25%-30%. Last October production was hit by heavy storms. This year grazing conditions “were excellent”.
